For some, the cloud HR landscape can be a confusing place. There are on-premise systems and cloud options for core HR, Payroll, Time Management, and more. SAP advertises the slogan “Start anywhere – go everywhere”, suggesting customers can chose any sequence for their implementation. This is true (apart from the fact that you can’t go live with Employee Central Payroll before Employee Central itself) and differentiates SAP SuccessFactors from certain competitors. However, some sequences are more efficient than others. Therefore, we recommend to follow these guidelines, unless strong business priorities dictate a different sequence.
